At
Titan Laser Die, we design and build custom cutting dies that are inserted
into multi-million dollar printing presses that produce everything from
CD inserts to product packaging to promotional tools. Below is a photo
tour of our process.
STEP
1
Our
design team customizes your needs from scratch using our Cimex software
or we coordinate with your designers.
STEP
2
A
sheet of plywood is loaded onto our Data Tech 2200 Watt Laser.
STEP
3
We
load the design work into the laser's computer so it will tell the laser
exactly where to burn on the piece of plywood.
STEP
4
The
2200 watt laser responds to the design from the computer and burns a thin
groove through the plywood.
STEP
5
Depending
on the design, our process can often be 2-up, 4-up, etc, ultimately, meaning
huge savings in cost and time.
STEP
6
Our
Easy Bender Rule Processor produces "razor blade like" dies from
the design specifications.
STEP
7
The
blades are then hammered into the grooves in the plywood...
STEP
8
...completing
the custom designed die.
STEP
9
The
die is then loaded into the printing press cutting at rates up to 10,000
times an hour.
STEP
10
Finally,
after the folding/gluing process, the custom designed products are ready
to meet the customer's specific needs.
